Accounting Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking an accounting assistant for our finance department.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance operations, including sundry payments and allocations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank recons, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure that the finance dept runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing Daily Bank reconciliations and postings

• Managing cashflow

• Leading and mentoring a small finance team to deliver operational excellence

• Accounts payable processes end to end.

• Invoice processing and allocations.

• Account receivable from postings to debt collection

• General Ledger reconciliations.

• Sundry payment and commission payments runs.

• General Admin support to our branches

About You

• Strong accounting skills

• Proven experience in similar role

• Good communication skills

• Hands-on and proactive, with a focus on continuous improvement

• Strong Excel Skills

• Good accounting knowledge of general Ledger

• Organised
