About the role:
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of Council's fortnightly payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and Council policies.
This role plays a critical part in delivering an efficient payroll service to Council employees, maintaining payroll records, providing payroll-related advice and supporting a range of payroll, superannuation and workers compensation administration functions.
The successful applicant may be required to work additional ordinary hours, up to a maximum of 38 hours per week, during the initial training period and where operational requirements necessitate, subject to consultation with their People Manager and in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement.

The remuneration for this role is in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Council's current Enterprise Agreement, commencing at Level 4 $93,952 pro rata for hours worked.
