About the role

If you’re in Big 4 or mid-tier, this is your opportunity to move beyond audit and tax compliance into a genuine commercial finance role.

You’ll use your technical accounting and tax foundation to deliver accurate financials, influence reporting outcomes and start building real commerce experience. Understanding how numbers translate into profitability, cash flow and business performance.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and CFO, you’ll be embedded in the full finance lifecycle across a multi-entity, PE-backed business, gaining exposure you simply don’t get in practice.

We work in a hybrid environment and value time together for collaboration and learning particularly during onboarding. This is a 12 month contract role, where you'll typically spend around 60% of time in our CBD office.

What you’ll be doing

·       Owning key parts of month-end close and financial reporting

·       Preparing BAS, FBT and tax workpapers; directly impacting cash, P&L and balance sheet outcomes

·       Supporting audit and statutory reporting, working directly with external auditors

·       Contributing to group consolidation across multiple entities

·       Using financial and tax insights to support budgeting, forecasting and business decision-making

About you

·       CA/CPA qualified (or close to completion)

·       Currently in Big 4 or mid-tier audit/tax and looking for your first move into industry

·       Strong grounding in Australian tax (BAS, FBT, income tax)

·       Motivated to build real commercial/industry experience, not just technical depth

·       Ready to step into a role with ownership, exposure and accountability
